Form, Fill and Seal describes packaging material supplied in reel form to food processing companies and others, for the automatic packing of products.

The material is formed around the product, sealed vertically and cut and sealed at each end on high speed packaging machines. In addition, there are many horizontal FFS machines available that are suitable for flat or linear products such as bread, and other bread based products.

Many customers who hand fill already formed bags changed to this approach due to the packaging machinery becoming more readily available (and affordable) and the subsequent labour savings.

Form Fill is a growth market as packers and manufacturers look to reduce costs and inventory. Form Fill machinery is reasonably priced making it a viable alternative for many Organisations.
